Space Academy

Your visit to Rumbo al Cosmos at the Museu de les Ciencies Principe Felipe at Valencia's City of Arts and Science, isn't the end of the story, it's just the beginning!

During your visit to Space Academy/Academia del Espacio you learnt about the space programme and the science carried out aboard the International Space Station by taking part in a series of astronaut simulations including a full size rotating mock-up of the Laboratory on the ISS, a simulation of the Lift which carries astronauts up the launch pad at Kennedy Space Centre, a 6m x 4.5m simulated image of the astronauts' view from the Orbiter Access Arm at Kennedy and a mock-up of the crew White Room, with the ultimate climax being a journey in the world's first weightless motion simulator, as the Crew Return Vehicle launches from the cargo bay of the shuttle and up to the ISS.
